First Draft Finished – First Rewrite Begins!

I feel so relieved to have finished my first draft. It’s rough, but it’s finished. It’s the middle of April and I’m feeling good about being able to reach my goal of publishing it this year. I have a good friend who lives in Wisconsin that is helping me with my edits, because this is a tedious process. She’s keeping me on task, motivated and laughing as we interact on Google Docs. Many rewrites will come until I get it right. I’m not going to rush this, because, in order to be a good writer, I also have to experience life. My faith, family, friends and my first career, as a therapist, are very important to me. Keeping things in perspective is what has allowed me to maintain my health, happiness and sanity as a daytime psychotherapist and nighttime/weekend author. Enjoy your evening everyone.
